Started all 13 games and led team with 11.5 tackles-for-loss (-56 yds) and 4.5 sacks (-34 yds) among his 45 total tackles. Recovered four fumbles and forced one. Returned an interception 41-yards for a touchdown in Texas game.

2006

Honors

Started all 13 games. Was third on the team in total tackles (67) and second in unassisted tackles (42), of which 17.5 were for-loss with 11.5 sacks (tied school single-season sack record of Nyle Wiren) ... broke-up four passes, had three qb-hurries, recovered three fumbles and forced one. Led the league in per-game tackles-for-loss and was second in per-game sacks. Led all Big 12 defensive linemen in total tackles.

2005

Honors

Played in 10 games ... recorded seven tackles and one sack, blocked a kick. Came out of 2005 spring drills as a #2 on the depth chart ... had five tackles in spring game, 1.5 tackles-for-loss and one sack against #1 offensive line. Redshirt walk-on in 2004.

Two-time Hi-Plains all-league selection and Hutchinson News Class 3A All-Area linebacker for the Bluejays ... honorable mention all-state honors at linebacker ... all-league honorable mention as a senior running back ... Has school career tackle record at 324 ... Three-year starter in basketball.
