Best game was against Colorado when he was 22-of-26 for 251 yards and a career-high two touchdowns ... 84.6 percent completion ratio against the Buffaloes was the highest in the Big 12 for '06 season and the second best in K-State history. Finished the season 140-of-270 for 1,780 yards and six TDs, but with 15 picks. Rushed for 163 yards in 11 games but was sacked for -184 yards. Capable of putting up big numbers when he escapes the career plight of a Steve Groganesque offensive line.

    Four-star recruit and No. 4 rated pro-style quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com ... attended the Elite 11 camp ... participant in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl ... Thomas A. Simone Memorial Award winner, which honors the Kansas City area's top high school football player. Passed for over 7,000 yards in high school. Connected on 151-of-286 passes (53 percent) for 2,622 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior and rushed for five touchdowns. Left school after first semester of senior year to enroll at K-State and participate in '06 spring ball.
